They Went Which'a Way?

Two of my favorite bloggers seem to have dropped out of sight.

Hedonic Adjustment's Bluebird has been known to take periodic sabbaticals, but now even his old entrys are gone. Same with Dog Ate My Finances.

What I really dislike is the snarky note that Blogger puts up, saying "It doesn't look like you have been invited to read this blog." Like it's some disco and I'm standing outside the red carpet.

Then Blogger suggests "If you think this is a mistake, you might want to contact the blog author and request an invitation."

Gee, folks, exactly how do I do that when the e-mail address is on the blog--you know, the one you won't give me access to!

Anyone have an update on either of these blogs? I hate to eliminate them from my blogroll.

Hi Grace,

I hope Dog leaves a message with you. You and Dog are the first ones I visit each day! This Thrifted Life is also gone. Miss her too. AND Fighting Forclosure hasn't posted since Feb.

In my experience, if you get the message that it looks like you haven't been invited to read this blog, the blog has gone private, and you do need to be invited. If the blog has been closed, you would get another message saying it's no longer available. It is frustrating when you are following a blog.

I really enjoyed the adventures of Dog and Senor Dog; I'll miss them!!
Yeah, it's kind of hard to e-mail them when the blog is gone.

I love Dog Ate My Finances, but I always comment anon because I don't have a blog. I guess I can't read anymore? Grace, I hope you don't make your blog invite only. :-/

Sorry Grace, I'm missing JP Kittie too! It's strange when they disappear without notice...

I'm not gone yet. I got a serious threat to "out" me, like JR.

I haven't figured out what I am doing about it yet. I might scrub it and come back, I don't know.

If nothing else, I'm still reading and rooting for you, Grace.

Dog--I am so sorry to hear that you've been threatened (just as I was sorry to lose JW's blog for the same reason). Much as I love following your blog, you can't jeopardize your financial security by continuing it if some idiot is going to make trouble for you. Our loss.

Hi, hello, nice to see you here on Grace's blog (sorry, Grace, if it's weird that people are talking to each other courtesy of your blog)

What a loserly thing to do - threatening to "out" someone -and for what?? Geez.... Some people really need to get a hobby. And I'm presuming this is due to nothing illegal or overtly amoral or anything like that. Oh, I think I can think of one thing... but that's a stretch. I really have no idea.

Guess what - I re-used a Burger King coupon the other day because they never asked for the physical coupon the time before, so I kept it in my car and got the same deal twice. I wonder if anyone is going to call BK corporate and rat on me?

Seriously, though - I got a creepy note recently that made me realize that ALL KINDS are reading our blogs. It has made me cool my heels significantly. Too bad, eh?

Bostan Gal's Open Wallet now goes to a Boston Girls Get Rich menu with just a list of other sites.

Boston Gal is back. Check the link on the right hand side of my blog. Thank god, because hers is one of the first blogs I read each day.

Indeed she is!

Thanks for the heads up.

Now, if we could just find Bluebird at Hedonic Adjustment!
