Two Summer Months Down, One to go

OK, Grace is on a roll, here!

In June, I put a net amount of $704.39 against my debt (net because the previous month I'd actually increased my indebtedness).

July has been even better. My debts are down another $1489.96.

I now owe a grand total of $84,930.50 which is a lot, but it's coming down.

August will be harder because I will be having four of my grandkids for the month, but I've got every free children's event in my city calendared.

I can't wait until my house is paid off (1.5 years) so I can throw my entire mortgage payment at the rest of the debt. That's when real progress will be made!

Bravo! And I can't wait to see how your month of grands plays out. Food costs alone for our four boost expenditures noticeably. But no complaints. In addition to the joy they bring, it's also a sneaky way to enjoy "kid food" once in awhile!

Our grown sons have moved on to apprpriate adult fare. I still crave pizza!

Hi Grace -- enjoy your week with the grandkids -- I LOVE your blog and hope our great weather holds for you! You are inspiring me to get back on the wagon after a few online shopping "bargain" lapses (funny if I'm "saving" so much money why is none of it in the bank????)

1.5 years left on your mortgage? I'm jealous! We are refinancing this week, and I'm hoping to get it paid off in 10.5 years. :)!

Enjoy your grandkids! Post about your "free to do" activities! I'd love the ideas!

Grace--I'm a long time reader and not sure how to contact you. I just learned today that your link on the "Blogging Away Debt" blog has been removed because you have not posted in august. If you reach out to them they will put you back up which would be wonderful for me as I always link through to you from there! Please consider asking them to keep you up. Thanks, Consuelo
